About a month ago I added a mini and regular Cyclone to my collection.
Now when the speed safe is engaged on the full size Cyclone, the black plastic spacer between the steel liners (the part with the on/off switch) moves as the blade is opened and closed. Nothing else appears to be loose. Any ideas?

Welcome to bladeforums! You'll love it here in the Kershaw subforum.

How much does it move? It might be normal, since the backspacer holds the speedsafe end-prong in place; but I could be wrong.

It only moves a little, but none of my other speed safe knives do this at all.
I was just not wanting to let a little problem become a bigger one.:D

Do you mean the entire backspacer moves or the on/off switch? If its the backspacer, take a T-6 torx and check that the handle screws are snug.

The backspacer. I've been putting off getting a set of wiha torx, but I guess its about time. Thanks.:)

Lowes or Home Depot has a decent set for the cheap. But Wiha is the Cadillac of tools!

If you're looking for a quick fix, take your knife to a local garage and ask for a little help.

My mini Cyclone did the same thing. A little blue loc-tite and proper sized torx and it was good to go. Don't put it off as it will only get worse.
