Blade: ATS-34 High Molybdenum Martensitic Stainless Tool Steel, Hardened and Tempered to Rockwell C59, hollow ground and mirror polished

Fittings/Bolsters: Nickel Silver, satin finished, hand-engraved by Jay

Handle: Polished Aventurine Gemstone

Sheath: Hand-Stamped Black Basketweaved Leather

Aventurine is a 'kind of' jade, is that right? I've been reading up:)

It is pretty hefty, at 1/4" thick, a meaty, strong blade.
Aventurine is actually a granular quartz. Tough and of medium hardness, the semi-translucent grains are interspersed with tiny muscovite and pyrite flakes, so small they're barely visible in the photo. But get this rock in the sunshine and it sparkles. Neat stuff.
