I did a hike a while back and just found these pic. This is a great trail that takes you through a cypress swamp. It reminds me of the Planet Pandora from the movie Avatar. It can get a little spooky and exciting as I have run into diamond back just a few feet away and have picked up the pace to get around gators that have been a little too close for comfort. With this trail being so beautiful and close to home it makes it a perfect day hike for me.

Beautiful Pics. A lot of people don't think the swamp can be a an awesome Place to exPlore, those pics show that it can be!

1. Highly interesting & intimidating place:The Busse spear is definitely needed in those locales!
2. I like the clip-ons for your sheaths. Who makes those?
Thx

looks like a fun trail as long as your careful , I like those clips on your sheaths to.

It is a great place but there are two areas that are absolutely terrifying that take you right along the waters edge. All I can do is wait a minute and look for bubbles and see if there are any tracks or slides going across the trail. I have visions of not only getting ambushed from the water but from the weeds on the other side of the trail. I know its all in my head and a chance of a gator attack is slim but thats what makes it fun.
The sheath clips are ESEE 5/6 clips. You can fit them to any medium to small Kydex by adjusting the holes and a little grinding.
They work great in a hot climate when I am wearing shorts with an elastic waistband with no belt.

Great pics man! It's always excited hiking down here, we went to shark valley awhile back, came upon these two, smack in the middle of one of the little hiking trails off the main road, needless to say we turned around

Man that looks like a whole different planet compared to Ohio. Definitely on my list of places to see one of these days.
