D-1 zone temper?

Have any of you D-1 owners out there checked the ammount of zone tempering on the edge? I know it varies blade to blade, but i was hoping to get a sample idea on how they treat their non-khukri blades these days. I thought they were going to start full length tempering the edge on these style blades and I figured I would seek some confirmation on this. The D-1 and AK Bowie are tied for my next HI purchase.

And it aint easy holding out, with these DOTDs recently posted.

They are supposed to be hardening nearly the entire edge, or all of it, on traditional knives these days. I hope they are doing this.
