D-2 and Denim

This is my small personal carry; used to call it the Hiker. The blade is flatground from 2.5mm D-2 and is 3 1/8 inches long from tip to plunge. Distal taper,satin finish, convex edge. OAL is 7 1/4 and it weighs 3.3 oz. Handle is my Denim Jcarta with small loveless bolts and nickel silver lanyard tube. Sheath to follow.

Great looking knife!

I realy like your denim micarta.

Have you ever considered adding a hamon to the blade? I think it might look great with the pattern of your micarta.

I have one of your knives that I was lucky enough to have purchased second hand. I believe it was called a hiker model. I am impressed with your work.

I don't do my own HT; D'Holder does it. I don't know if I've ever seen a hamon on semi-stainless steel. It might be possible. I didn't make that many of the hiker model you have, so I think I know which one it is; I seem to recall seeing the knife for sale. They are nice little knives. I've been going back and doing some of my older patterns, and was just thinking about that one today.....glad you like it.
