Guys, I took some pics of a prototype that Derek built and delivered to me for me last week.

This is a 4 3/4" Deluge Framelock, and let me tell you, THIS is a serious Flipper! 3/16" thick, hand rubbed S30V Blade, and as you can imagine, it flips open with a Thunk! Nicely Torch colored too, and clipped for tip up carry...my favorite!

Had another great flipper of Derek's, but it didn't last through sushi on Friday...maybe it's new owner will post some pics??

The price should be around $550.
The handle is Ti.

Can someone elaborate on the "torch colored" aspect of the titanium handles??? How is this done, for how long, at what temp., etc.?

Wow! That is a great lookin' piece! Great lines and proportions.
Thanks for sharing the pics!

Best,
Frank

Indeed it is a monster! Serial # 002 has some slight modifications over the prototype that might make it a better carry.........at least for me. The pocket clip is set up for tip down carry and has been placed at the tip top of the bolster for deep carry in the pocket. Blade length has been shortened all the way down to 4.5" ;) Last change has to do with the weight of the knife as 002 is significantly lighter than the proto., and ONLY weighs 11.6 ounces!!   The handles have been slightly flattened over the original but still have EXCELLENT grip.
