(Dave, not to discomfort you but so what - credit is good when deserved) If yo don't like it Dave turn you head.

Dave, I just gotta share this with ya. I gotta a gun maker freind in up state NY and also is a fellow I have HT'd a few for, and he is a rather new but excellent fixed blade knife maker. We spoke about many things last evening for several hours on the land line. He made a special effort to ask me about my opinion of your knife making. It struck me especially because of his tone in question. It was a tone of admiration. Just so happened I had at the time a grind of yours in hand (the collab. knife) and your SF blade was near by. The collab. blade (bar forgd by Nick Wheeler) I explained very well to him - but only the grind part and that Nick had manufactureed the bar. ......and by the way - super grind. Uh, the SF; TEE TOTALLY Blade Mag. quality - period.

So he (Chris) is saying Dave seems real modest but real good(?) Yeah, I recon so, with a chuckle from me. I am saying I am holding these works before my eyes as I speak with you. The guy can really grind and it ain't easy to grind a zero gouge tang taper either on a full size.

What goes around comes around. Politics may differ but your grinds are as smooth as sniping bad guys in Iraq ( ;)).

I wanted to post this because of my admiration of Dave's grinding and because my freind in asking offered me the excuss for doing so.

That was nice, Roger! I have been trying to tell Dave how good he is, but he is just too modest and shrugs it off. I am glad other folks recognize real talent when they see it. You the best, both Dave and Roger!

 Roger you know this sort of thing embarrasses me but it makes me feel good too. Thanks for your kind words. Now, if I could just learn to fit up a guard properly... :D

Ha Ha! Good read. You'll be holding a knife of mine soon Roger so go easy on me buddy ;) Nice to hear Dave!
