For those wanting to get a sense of how the D-Guard sizes up to some other Busse/Kin...

It feels REALLY well balanced. The saber grind gives a certain heft. D-guard makes the knife feel really secure in the hand. I'll do some chopping this weekend and get some action pictures.

I can already tell this is going to be one of my favorites.

I just had mine out for a little chop session.. It will chop [emoji846] took down a 6" tree on my wood line that's been banging my head when I go by on the tractor.

I played with the balance point last night and IIRC it's right in the choil, very well balanced for the size of the guard!

Have a few pics I'll throw up later when I'm at my PC.

Nice score and collection
That BWM is nice too :)

That BWM is by go to knife for everything. You started my addiction, Max!

(My son was born on April 9th... coincidentally, we named him Max.)

Wow. It is at the choil.

Did you get any pinky burn when swinging away?

Sweeet!! Thanks for the pics. Mine is on the UPS truck somewhere.:)

Congrats and thanks for the pic next to the BWM! I was hoping to see those two next to each other.

A little bit on angled chops, but that's not uncommon for me on any knife that has a rear drop in the tang, like the ASH, my hands are just over 4.5" wide across the palm/fingers so it makes for a tight fit on a lot of knives. I really like the balance and the way this swings though.

Here's a few more pic's...

Posted this in a different thread last night but since this is a comparison thread - next to an old CS BME.

Next to the O2W TG-M

Made short work of this tree :)

First sheath done, still deciding the type of dangler I want for it.

These are so cool. Got both guard and talon. Wait shouldnt be too much longer. Both paid for.

I wish one of the Battle Grade mistresses would have been .18- .20" thickness though.

I'd be curious to see how the D Guard and Double Talons compare to the ESEE Junglas. That is one that I had been thinking about buying but when these Mistresses popped up I just had to go with the better steel of the Busse.

I think it was overpriced for 101, but u wont be disappointed I believe.

That BMe is sweet. I'm assuming that the guard stock is the same thickness as everything else? Would you take a picture of it in your grasp please?

Congrats PA!!!
I sooooooo wanted a D-guard Mistress, but they are verboten in the PRK...

Thanks! I rescued it from some ill fitting Kydex and plan to make a deserving leather sheath for it then will probably cut it loose.

I don't have a picture of the D-Guard in hand but I can take one later if someone else does not beat me to it.

Got mine yesterday, it is better than expected. The edge is thinner than I expected, weight is balanced forward enough for good chopping but not too far forward and it came hair popping sharp. I was going to flip the first few I ordered from O2W due to a divorce but there is no way I can get rid of this one.....

That SHErgo looks familiar.

Dude, that SHe is just stupid sharp now. It took an edge that is by far sharper than any knife I have every owned.

Was she one of the older SHe models that was a RC point or two higher than current INFI?

Love that knife.

Thanks again, brother! :-)
