Here is a project I am working on, a D-guard handle for my FBM. D Barnes made me a few para-cord style ones and I figured since I received my new grinder, what the hell, I figured I would try and make a D-Guard!! Not fully finished yet, making it out of CPM 154CM.

Let me know what ya think so far!! Pic of the new grinder also!

I've had trouble grinding paracord too. Looks like it got a little too hot

Wow! After seeing this, I was curious where one could buy blade steel blanks, and it doesn't cost very much at all for most varieties! For decent size pieces too. Cool idea by the way:thumbup:

that is a very interesting shape you have there. please keep us posted on it.

color me jealous You got a Wuertz Grinder, man I want one of those so bad, maybe if I sell a whole lot of Busse's :(

Looks good, only thing I would do is get it a bit farther out from the handle, in other words make the open part bigger.

Looks pretty cool for a "fighting" style knife but if you plan on chopping, it looks like it might take away from the cutting edge. Wicked it is though.

Sweet grinder btw!

Funny thing about the shape, I got it from a ice skate! Pretty close to the shape of one!

It's coming along pretty good, I need to find a place for heat treating.

David, the Wuertz is awesome!! I am amazed at how versatile this machine is!! Travis is a great guy also! It's the first one, I hope to do another one or two!

That TW-90 is a Sweet Rig I'm with you in that jealousy line....

I have a huge paw and would need a bit more clearance as well for the Guard....I'm liking the design...
