I had a gentleman contact me last winter that does civil war reinactments, he asked if I could make him a D guard using damascus, this is what I came up with. 585 layers- OAL- 15 1/2" blade 10 1/4". handle is stabilized maple burl and the guard is made from the same 585 damascus. Top clip is sharp also.

Thanks for lookin,

Bill

Just pure magic craftsmanship, honestly can't get any better than that. Nice blade :) stem to stern it's the best.

That's a sweet handful of sharp and charm. Very impressive looking knife.

Bill, beautiful knife, great lines. I can't believe a civil war re-enactor will be using it on the field. I have seen what they do to equipment. I have done the explosions of the field - the closer the shot throwing more mud and debris on them, the better they love it. By the way did I say it was a beautiful knife...

I apologize for not reposting on this sooner, the wife and I went out of town for a few days and when we returned I forgot (senior moment) about this thread.

Anyway, I just want to say thank you to everyone for all the nice comments.
