I have not been around for a while, and a quick serch did not show the topic, so if this has been mentioned, please accept my apoligies in advance.
Dan Koster has a very nice kitchen knife shown in the October 2005 issue of Blade Magazine in the what's new section (pg 76). Congrats Dan it's a beaut.

I'm really hoping that my future Koster pieces will be enough to put my kids through college one day. Keep after it, Dan! I'm bankin' on ya;)
Seriously, congrats, congrats, congrats. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

I hope he makes a big success.

I think that he will, and when he does, all of you who've had knives made or modified by him will be sitting on sound investments and laughing about how little you paid for his work "back in the day, before all that success went to his head." ;)

If I see a copy I'll pick it up. Well done, Dan.

Dang! I've been sitting here typing for two hours with my right elbow on the October 2005 issue of Blade. It's been right in front of me for days and I didn't see it. Way to go Dan! I guess the value of my "Koster Customs" just doubled! :D

Hats off to the craftsman who got himself in Blades.....kind of like a biologist publishing in Nature magazine...only the best!

Naaaw, those guys have to pay Blade $250.00 for each knife pictured in that section.;) :p :D

Just tzn. Congrats Dan.:D

actually, Yvsa is correct....but my payment was made with $250 worth of blood, sweat and tears to get that knife finished.....

:p :p

Thanks for noticing. I actually got my October issue a little late...had heard about it from several people beforehand....made it a bit exciting once the mag came. And top placement too....all quite flattering.
