Hello, I have this D.L.Hedrick fixed blade beauty with deep stag handles and custom sheath. It is truely a gorgeous knife.

I can not find anyone who has ever seen or owned any of his knives. The closest I came was, two old guys at a knife show, that sold me the Devin Microtech, said they had heard of him, but thought he was dead.

Does anyone know?
Does anyone have a knife of his?

I would love to know how many he produced and some other details if I could. I can't find anything on him.

Thank you

There is a Don Hedrick listed in Knives 2001.
He is a part time maker whose first knife sold in 1982. His current blade mark is D. Hedrick in an Oval (that may have changed over the years).

Email me if you want his address or phone number. He does not have a web presence that I know of and I do not know him so I am reluctant to post it here.

Thank you for the info Gus, I just got off the phone with D.L Hedrick!

He is still making knives. The knife I have was made of 440C stainless steel, India Stag "Sambar" heat treated by Paul Bos.

9" overall with an incredible brown leather custom sheath made by someone else.
