I discovered Rat Forum last week.

I have spent every evening from dinner to way past my bedtime trying to decide between RC-3 and RC-4. I've looked through the whole photo gallery every night, and read countless threads.

I wasn't even interested in the Izula when I started but I ordered one of those on Thursday:rolleyes:

After reading about the Izula I knew I wanted one no matter which way I went on the others, so I ordered it first. :p

I'm now sure I will need a RC-3mil and a RC-4 or 5.

I can see into my future already. "My name is malada and I'm a RATaholic" :D
 
Welcome to the RAT Sickness and now you know what the rest of us have gone thru in deciding what to get :D. I'm sure you will be more than pleased with your incoming Izula :thumbup::thumbup:. And I hope your cc is ready to take a beating :p:p

You cannot go wrong with any choice!

Took me a good week to decide on my first - I was thinking so hard about the decision that I even had a dream or two about the knives!!!

My first was an RC4 and Izula together - then I found out that same week my wife ordered me an RC3mil :)
 
I've posted before about my love for my RC-4, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, and if you're like most of us, you'll aquire more than one, and probably in fairly quick succession. Great knives, fairly priced, good people... and it is a sickness!
 
I am thinking just like you, RAT Izula for everyday carry, with it's small size it is legal in most states and the complete kit also has a fire starter and whistle.

Wanted a RAT 3.Mil, it has great features with the glass breaker and seratted edge, perfect for cutting seat belts and breaking glass in case you are in an accident or to help rescue someone.

RAT-5 can have the same features but the divot for the bow drill makes it totally cool, also the RAT-5 is a great size for knife fighting, not to big or too small from what I have seen.

The RAT-6 is a good sized knife, if someone has fighting experience with bowie knife I think the RAT-6 would make a good "modern" equivalent.

Congrats on your purchase and like everyone else tells you here, you can't go wrong with ANY RAT you buy.

RC-4 provides better niche partitioning if you already pulled for an Izula. But that won't stop you from eventually getting more blades in the future. Welcome.
 
I feel your pain !! Last 3 consecutive weekends I've ordered a RAT. RC3-HEST-Izula but I must confess that so far I'm enjoying every one of them.I've had a love for knives ever since my first one at about 8 yrs. old and that's 55 yrs. ago ! Welcome to the pack. :)
 
Malada Welcome to The World of Rat Cutlery Addictions!!!!! I started with a Izula then a Rc-4,Rc-5, A H.E.S.T working on a Rc-6 for x-mas and just ordered my RatPack Rc-3 Yes my wife tells me I'am need R.K.A (Rat knife addiction) LOL Welcome
 
Tell me about it. I thought Black Rifle Disease was bad. I haven't even decided on a RAT yet and I already know I'm going to have one in every pack, bag and vehicle I own. I look at it this way: with the money I would put in to my next AR build, I could have a RAT of each size!

Went shopping with the wife and she bought $100+ worth of dress clothes for work. I'm pretty set on work clothes (by my standards) so I figure fair is fair. I'll just spend my $100 on an RC-3!
 
Welcome,congrats on the Izula!As for your next RAT,pick what you like,they are all great knives.

Sounds like what I have been going thru tonight and will probably be going thru for a while.

I think I am going to order an RC4 for sure, now I am looking for a folder.
