This is one I finished for the Chesapeake Custom knife show in a couple of weeks. 3/16" thick D2 with a 1 1/2" wide semi-skinner blade. It has a convex grind with impala jigged buff horn and 5/32 brass pins. All comments welcome. Thanks for looking, Scott

Looks like a nice peice. Do you flute the buffalo horn yourself ?
I like how much belly the blade has. Do you use a different knife for the opening cut though? Seems like most folks I talk to like a little thinner point. I'm sure once you got a hole poked that would open em up nice though since cutting edge up with that wide blade would kind of lift and cut all at once.

Thanks Matt, actually the horn comes already jigged. As far as the point, it works fine for piercing the starting hole while field dressing. I always make a test blade and try it before I make one for sale. This style blade is popular and I've sold several.

Scott, looks like a perfect workhorse to me ! I love your knives, they look like they would last a lifetime. With the steel you are using, I am sure the user would get many years of service out of these gems.

Thanks Robbie. That D2 is some awesome steel, especially with the added cryo treat. By the way, I've been using the heck out of the Revolver. That saw is the best ;)
