I wouldn't scrap it yet. Some days just don't get a lot of posts, and it's hard to keep reviewing knives by pics only.

I think the shape looks good for a camp knife. Looks it it would chop very well and most certainly would handle food prep just fine.

I do like the curve down of the back of the blade. Gives it a bit of a aggressiveness that you don't see often in Camp knives (which often can resemble large kitchen knives).

Love the patina on it and Burlap micarta is a great choice. Very grippy.

Do you have any pics showing the handle from above to see the contouring better?

Anyway, just review based on the pics.

Im relatively new to the forum (less than a year). It appears there are peak times with more viewers also more people look at the for sale areas, rather than the makers area. keep at it. The opinion that matters the most is from someone who holds the knife, in front of you.

Thank you guys,
I was joking about scraping this piece

I make it for my brother, I will make a sheath for it,
I use it a couple of times on the kitchen
And, it sure makes a good chopper

The burlap its form, Todd of Shadetree Custom Composites
Great stuff

Best regards

One thing I would do on the next one is round the front of the handle so it isn't so square. The handle shaping looks very nice, you sculpted it well. The blade shape is nice as well. Keep up the good work :)

Also one quick photo tip, take the pictures outside on a sunny day in a slightly shady area and the color of the photos will be much closer to real life ;) I think the knife is better then the photos show.

I really appreciate your comments guy
Very encouraging

And thank you fod for the burlap
I still have a great orange piece and some green camo
Line out for my next couple of knives

Sweet!

I am looking forward to seeing them.

looks good Gus!
tank you
How did you get the patina?
this its done whit regular yelow mustard,
but after I read a post by J. Neilson.
I deside to mix it whit bluing acid.
"pecking" whit an acid brush, and leave it on, for three days,
clean whit boiling water and bleach,
scrub whit #0000 steel wool,
and neutralize whit boiling water and baking soda.
