I think this would be great.......Would anyone else want one? Maybe Ethan or Toooj can make it happen :)

Oh ya!!! I think I would take any Becker smaller than the BK-2 in D2. I'm not a big fan of D2for big blades.

I think any of the tweeners would be nice D2. Id especially love the 15 done in it, for kitchen chores.

Make mine a BK17 please. I would also like to try one out in 3V which is supposed to run circles around 1095 or pretty much anything else for that mater. :)

You know, id be all in, if say there was a limited edition run on a set of tweeners in D2. Get all three in D2, at once, with say uncle E's signature, and all numbered the same.

You guys are right lets get D2 tweeners all the way around.

I think i would be down for a 16 as well. But---a set of 3 ? We would need to know in advance so we can save up the coinage.

I think a 16 in D-2 would be great. Whatever happened to the idea of a LE BK-16 in S35v Steel that Spark bandied about here a few months ago? I really wanted that knife.

IDK but D2 is at least in the Kabar line up so it shouldnt be too hard to do tweeners in it.

I think I would much rather see S35V, but D2 might be cool. I would love a Damascus run too. Limited editions, numbered.

I dont know much about large scale knife manufacturing, that said I dont see why Kabar would have trouble making anything we want. Maybe we can do a limited edition group buy like ESEE does, kinda like anyone who wants a BK9 in 3V sign here. Maybe if we get a couple hundred takers they can just pump them out, no??

Negative. I'm am not a fan of d2. I have a blade I that steel and would gladly exchange it for a 16 and a 14. It is too difficult to sharpen.

I like D2 for edc or folder knives, so you can use them a good while without having to maintain the edge. In a larger field use blade, I think that 1095 is pretty much the perfect steel with a balance of edge retention and ability to quickly sharpen it without my full array of sharpening supplies.

D2 isn't as tough as some other high edge retention steels, and less so than 1095CV, I think.
I'd pick A2 instead, but I don't think Ka-bar currently does A2.
