Well, I finished it. No cyro on this one. 3 tempers at 425 and then I placed the edge in a pan of water and clamped a a piece of wet kaowool on the tip and took the spine to 750f
Length is 14 3/4"
Spine is 3/16
depth of belly is 2"
waist is 1 3/8"
Scales of Afzelia Xlay
very slight convex grind from spine to edge on
9 1/2" of very shiny, shaving sharp D2 blade with a thin edge.

I did the lanyard so your fingers are in side the first loop and a polisher warthog tusk tip holds it around your wrist.

Now for Scots BBQ contest.

Thanks and yes it is mirrored, I hand sanded to 1200 then, used a 3/4hp buffer with a pair of 8" felt wheels on one side. This makes it about 1 1/2" wide and I used black rouge on it before going to my cloth wheels with the finer grits. Can't make it show in the picture but, there are spider webs of banding in the steel.Typical of shiny D2 I am told. I can hold up sheet of paper and with just a flick, it will cleanly cut it in half length wise.

I forgot to mention the pins are copper tubing that filled with 1/16" brass and nickel rods then heated filled with silver solder. Didn't really work that well as when sanded out there are minor voids.
