D2 Eskabar Factory Spine Sharpness for Firesteel Scraping

From the factory, is the uncoated spine of the D2 Eskabar sharp enough to scrape a firesteel?

Any information would be appreciated.

No. Just tried mine, no go.

you'll have to sharpen the spine with a file or sandpaper. That's what I did and it works great!

The spine is not squared at the factory. You'll have to mod it like said above.

As others have said the factory spine will not work but it is a easy fix.
