It is BIG. IIRC about 12" overall and .25" thick. I'm not sure what handles will be made of but as a Busse Combat nut I'm leaning heavily towards textured Micarta. We do not usually make stock reduction knives, but rather prefer to work with 52100 billets and hand forge. My father in law and I got on a Loveless kick and started stock reduction again...anyway I've just laid out the shape and will chart progress when I grind the flats on the 22d when I go visit the in laws.

I keep making these freehand and giving them away to ranch hands, school buddies, etc. This one should be really cool and I'm KEEPING IT.

Looks great so far!

I am a big fan of designs without finger guards (IE old bowie and Gaucho style knives, that are basically just big modified butcher knife style).
