I've read a lot here about D2 being superior to stainless in almost every way.

Who makes a "good quality heat treated" D2 folder?

Bueller..? :)

There are quite a few one hander liner locks on the market and you might want to take a look at some Benchmade models if you are stuck on a single quick opening blade.

Now if you want a lot of D2 blades in a small package consider a Queen stockman in D2. I have to reshape the edge to a less obtuse grind, but you get around 9 inches of blade in a package around 4 inches closed for a very reasonable price.

Get the Benchmade Nitrous Stryker or the Benchmade McHenry Willians 710.

I'll second that. I've got a Queen 4-blade Congress that packs about 8-9" of blade in a 4" handle. I've used it cut up a room full of boxes at a time. With its thin flat ground D2 blades its the best knife I have for that task.
