D2 griptilian vertical blade play?

So I just picked up a full size griptilian and side to side lock up is solid but, vertical seems to have a little play. When I put pressure up and down there is almost what feels like a clicking in the liners? Has anyone ever heard of this? Should it be returned or is this normal? This is my first benchmade and I've never had this with any other of my higher end folders.

Maybe the liners are moving in the scales. Check all the little screws are tight, if that doesn't fix it return/exchange it or call Benchmade and send it in shouldn't be like that.

Radial blade play isn't something easily fixed by us mere mortals. I'd recommend either send it up for warranty service or exchange it for another if you can.

When this happened in my 710 it ended up being the stop pin. Being my 710 was a beater I ended up JB Welding the pin in place and that was the fix.

In your case I'd send it in.

This is killing me. I've been back and forth on picking up a benchmade. Mainly because of the plasticky feel of the griptilian but with all the great reviews on it I decided to pull the trigger. Now this is just leaving a salty taste in my mouth. I'm hoping I'm just really unlucky here and this is not a normal benchmade thing.

I had the EXACT same problem- I recommend that you return it for a different grip without the D2 since it seems any D2 griptilian does this. I got a 154cm black on black one and there was no issue. Grips are great even though I have only had mine a short time.
