Keith:

You are so right, I should have mentioned the grind!

Bob's grinds are incredibly uniform and consistent. In terms of consistency, his hand applied grinds put all others to shame.

I own several of Bob's creations. Each is a unique masterwork. Each has a distinctive character; but common to all is the meticulous simplicity and flawless precision.

Most importantly, they are functioning masterpieces that excel in their task.

RifRaf, that's a good one, but slightly inaccurate... bloodletting sharp, hemorrhage inducing sharp, etc. My Dozier slim outdoorsman bit me three days ago... I didn't even notice it touching me, and whammo... some blood to curdle. Hmmm, maybe bloodcurdling does fit. Nice ironwood there... Mr. Dozier gets alot of props for his grinds, but I think he does handles just as well. Sweet knife, you will find it impossible to have just one Dozier.

Mongo:

Thanks!

You're right on two counts.

Re blood letting: When speaking about the Dozier edge and "razor sharp" it is not a metaphor. Bob's knives are so sharp you don't feel it and don't know you've been bit until you see the blood dripping. Like you, I've done it!

Re can't own just one: I own several Doziers and already have another on order. They are truthfully my favorite blades. The only difficulty is choosing which Dozier to carry.

Re the handles: They are just a like the blades, perfect! I want to give some recognition to Bob's son-in-law, Daniel. I know he does a lot of prep work and got to believe his contribution adds to the overall consistency and quality of the products coming from Bob's shop.

Just a note; Daniel does a lot more than just prep work. He may have actually ground the blade on your knife.

Danbo:

I knew Daniel was making a significant contribution and suspected he was actually "producing" some of the knives coming from Bob's shop.

Is Bob publically acknowledging that not all knives are personally produced by him i.e. Bob?
