As mentioned inn shop talk I have had a piece of D2 plate cut into 36 blanks by GreatLakes WaterJet. I am starting to get the first batch slowly finished. #1 I took to work and after chopping a 16 penny duplex nail in half with 2 hammer blows and showing no edge damage it was sold before I could get pictures. The heat treat I am using is 30 min+ in stainless foil in digital controlled oven, aluminum plate quench, 2 hr+ at -100f with acetone/dry ice then into the oven at 450f for 2 cycles of 2hrs each. These will take a hair shaving. paper slicing edge and keep it. There will be some in the for sale section soon. Thanks for any comments Jim

Overall is 9 1/2"
sharp edge 3 3/4"
spine is 3/16"
depth is 1 3/8"
Desert Ironwood burl
red spacer
Black paper mycarta
Mosaic pins

Thank you, Yes they do cut you can hold a sheet of paper and with a quick slash cut it completely in half. Don't hit you fingers!

Here is #3

That is a good looking knife. I can see only the 1st one, I cannot get the others to show. The one I see looks great, and being D2 steel it must be a great knife. Thanks for showing such a pretty knife.

Hmmmm anyone else have problems seeing the last 2? Thanks Dave as soon as I have sold enough of these to make my expenses and pay for it I am going to send you a second piece for a hidden tang model. Jim

Now, this morning I can see the second picture, but still cannot see the 3rd?? There must be something about displaying this type of thumbnail that I don't understand, as I have this problem on all posts of this type?? Some of them display and some don't? Any suggestions?
By the way Jim, I still like your knives. LOL!

After approaching this from a different direction, my browser "Firefox," tells me that this is a PHP rather than a JPG?? Since some display and some don't, it's about as clear, to me, as mud. Guess I have to research that. Gosh, I'm too old and lazy to do that!! LOL.
I like those knives.

Here is the 1st batch minus 2 that went to homes right away. Now for an add in the fore sale area. Thanks for looking Jim
