had those two queen knives, a serpentine jack, and a canoe, both in d2, and though they were cutting, i wasn't very satisfied with their performance.

so first i tried to at least rebevel the serpentine jack, with a sharpmaker and some pocket diamond stones.
the result :

way better, but still, i wanted more, so kept going :

it was much better then, but still, i wasn't satisfied yet, and wanted more performance out of a little knife like this.
took it to a professional, who sharpens stuff for a living, and then i was blown out by the cutting performance of this traditional knife.
in just a few minutes, with the right equipment and skills, this is what came out

even though the canoe was a bit better at cutting, i wanted now a similar performance, so i took it as well for a good sharpening.
didn't even bother to try it myself,
here is the result :

complete satisfaction

now i can easily make fine touch ups on the edge, sharpmaker or stone, and truly enjoy those wonderful knives.

anyway, im just sharing.

Queen's D2 is very well done. They usually need thinning, and a good sharpening, then they are very satisfying. I've resigned myself to doing that whenever I buy one, but it usually isn't too hard to do.

Congratulations!
