You guys know who I am talking about. Makers with waiting periods over 2 years; maker who don't need a website. Makers who earn $1000 or more for most of their knives. Makers who would require most of us to take a mortgage for our next purchase. So who's your favorite?
Some examples: Gil Hibben, Michael Walker, Walter Brend, D'anton Holder, Jerry Fisk, David Broadwell, Kaj Embretson, just to name a few. So who do you love and why.

So what am I? A rusted out Frost cutlery Pakkawood tip-broken-off, linerlock doesn't even work POS? huh? C'mon guys, I thought this would be a cool thread.

For me #1 Ed Fowler.
Look at that smile and that twinkle in his eye and most important the knives.

For me, it is George Herron. I got on his list last year. What he told me is that he has a 13 year backlog, is 73 years old and would like to enjoy some retirement before he dies. His grinds are extraordinary, as is his fit and finish. Hopefully I'll get what I ordered
