Hello

To tell you guys the truth, only the Gryphon on the sheath is of dacian design, which I cleverly stole from the famous Helmet of Coțofenești: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helmet_of_Coțofenești
The rest is just a regular, but sexy knife from my shop :D
It is 28.5 cm long, the blade is 15.5 cm long, 4 cm wide and 6 mm thick at it's max, which thins towards the tip, it is forged of cut off bits and pieces of previous hammerings, mostly of 5160 and L6, but it may contain other tool steels too and has hundreds of layers.
The handle is made of antler, oak and forged iron.
The sheath is made of sturdy cowhide.

Hope you will like it :)

Nothing regular about this one- sexy and sublime. It looks like it could be a hundred years old with all the best years ahead.

I really love it - simple but elegant too. Nicely done

Thank you, that's the nicest comment ever! :)
It gives me nonsense comfort to know that maybe some of my work will still exist after I am long reduced to dust. I know it is silly, but still...

Really a nice, warm piece! I appreciate a lot the handle shape, thin and looks like very comfortable.
The left side of the blade looks like a sea/lake landscape in a cloudy sunset

Thank you and yes the handle is remarkably comfortable :)
Very nice metaphor with the left side. Most of the layers turned up at the other side, it is so dense that it can hardly be seen on pics. It is more vivid in reality.

Eh eh :)
Do you forge the billets by hands only or do you have any press/power hammer?
I would love to forge damascus but my thin arm refuses to cooperate ;)

Nop, no fancy tools here! Only my trusty mitts and rusty sledge hammer :D I live in the middle ages.
