After putting out the oil fire that is...*cough*, *cough* :D

I've been keeping a low profile for some time now, but I've decided to come out of hiding in order to show you some pictures of what my son and I have been doing in the shop:

My son is eight years old now, and I have slowly been introducing him to the art of knife making...

He helped me a lot during this build (so it has some eight-year-old character built in): giving me instructions (orders?) on just how he wanted this knife built/designed.

We used 1/8" 1075 for the blade, shark skin and cotton for the handle, and shark skin and tool leather for the sheath.

Thanks for looking!

Cousin Jack....or is it "Cousin Jack & Son" now? :D

That is so awesome! My 2 year wants in dads shop so bad!!! I made him a little wooden anvil and hammer so he can forge sticks while dad does the steel.
