So a few weeks ago my daughter, Justice, entered her school Spelling Bee. She placed first out of the entire 4th grade class. This earned her a spot in the county wide Spelling Bee to represent her school as the 4th grade representative.

So last night we went to the County Spelling Bee where she competed against the top 4th grade spellers from all of the schools in the County. She placed second out of all of them. I am so proud of her. Not sure where she got her brains from but glad she has them.

I told her not to feel bad, the word that took her out was one that I had spelled wrong from my seat in the audience.

Anyway, nothing to really do with anything here but just so proud I wanted to share the news with my friends.

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing! :D:beer::thumbup: Many cheers from the west coast.

Congrats, there is nothing that brings more warmth to your heart than your children, especially when they accomplish something.

congratulations Pop.

Your daughter is very bright! Congrats Garth  You should definitely be proud :D

That Rocks!!!! You know inside that she studied hard to get there so that you could be so proud to share this with all of us...That's Great Parenting Brother...Congrats to the Reckner Clan...

Congratulations Garth to you and the whole family. You must be doing something right. Keep up the good work.

That is awesome!

Congratulations:cool:

The older we get we see our best accomplishments are those of our children;)

That's fantastic! I've got two teenage daughters--don't know who or what I'd be without them.

Good on her!!! The love of the english language is a wonderful thing to foster. It is also, a gift for life....:thumbup::thumbup:

Congrats Justice. I challenge you to a spelling contest. Loser buys the winner lunch. Just let me know where you want to go. :p

Thanks everyone. I let Justice read all of your responses. She was amazed that people from all around the world knew about her award. I have to say that it is very cool to be part of this community. To think that you can let your 10 year old daughter read these forums and not have to worry about her reading something she shouldnt is pretty cool.

So from Justice, and I quote,

"Daddy, please tell all your friends Thank You very much. I had fun seeing where everyone was from."

This really is "THE" place to be.

Garth
