Well, we left at a reasonable hour. Should have been at Blade by about noonish, or a little later. So much for best laid plans...
First, a tractor trailer melts down on I-24 and TDOT actually closes down an entire side of the interstate. Think detour through farm land and 2 hours to make 5 miles. That's right. 2 hours. Called Tony G and got the report that the LM's had not come down the pipe yet. Whew!
Then... more obstacles. North of Atlanta, construction work allowed for all of 5 miles in about 40 minutes. Think another detour and a roundabout, semi-lost route to the Galleria. I kept thinking, "Leaner Meaners at 3:30 instead of 2:00. Leaner Meaners at 3:30 instead of 2:00. C'mon! Papa needs a new LM!"
Guess what came down the pipe at 2:00 while I was still fighting traffic. :grumpy: Granted, this one did help ease some of the pain...
