No joke, I use this scale all the time. It finally hit me that other folks might find it useful, or at least get a chuckle out of it. 
"Shaking salt on my food" -- The lowest acceptable detent (for me) in a folding knife. Stays shut when shaken firmly, but gently. Anything weaker than this is unsafe.
"Stubborn ketchup bottle" -- If I can shake it as hard as I go after ketchup in a glass bottle, that's a good detent. Pretty happy with knives that wind up here.
"Vigorous shaking" -- I'll be honest, this one needs a better name. It covers everything between "stubborn ketchup bottle" and the platinum tier on my scale, which is...
"Like throwing a baseball (but not letting go)" -- If I can whip my arm down to full extension, at full strength, and the blade doesn't budge...I salute you, knife manufacturer. The gold standard.
