I was looking through some old stuff and found some of my dads boys axe heads in need of handles. Both are in great shape. I love the Plumb(2.24#). The Craftsman (1.90#) appers to have the factory grind on it. Any info as to dates is much appreciated. I dont have any boys axes, other than Scandinavian Forest Axe, so I'm pretty stoked. Thanks

Family axes are the best. Please show them off when they are hung. For some reason that Plumb really speaks to me. Maybe its the way the light comes off the curves?

I like the convex cheeks on the plumb. That will be a great little axe once you haft it.

Your Dad's axes are really nice. I like your Plumb also. The convex cheeks should make her a great chopper. While most axe makers would stamp their logo near the poll, Plumb almost always stamped theirs closer to the bit. The stamp seemed to always be just above the heat treated bit. Hard to date them by the Plumb stamp.

Enjoy and hang them, Tom
