Just wanted to post that EVERYBODY who has typed you cant buy just one is absolutley right. :D Damn. It started with the BK10, then the BK11, then another BK11, then a BK16 annd now I'm eyeing two BK15's for the kitchen.
I prefer to keep the BK10 molle attached to my ruck and wear the BK16 on belt. The BK11 is inside ruck as a nice back-up blade. The other BK11 is attached to the outside of my Canteen Shop ultimate carry bag.

What's the general opinion of those who have field dressed small and large game; the 15 or the 16???

Thanks all

I actually prefer the 14 for cleaning game, but I like a smaller blade for field dressing.

haw haw!

I'd pick the 16 as the trailing point might be trickier to put to use in a couple operations, and you don't want to nick the smelly bits. But I'd keep the tip on that 16 nice and sharp for starting incisions.

A small blade is actually really good for field dressing, and the 14 is a great choice. You want more control than edge. My own hunting knife is only 3" and it will field dress and take apart an entire deer with no help needed from larger blades. (recommend a larger blade for making and packing proper cuts of meat, tho.)

You're screwed. Pretty soon, you'll be thinking, "Man, I can't own just one bag full."

Mmmmmm. Hadn't thought about putting them all in one bag so I don't have to choose which ones to take. The slippery slope begins.

What a good idea. A tool bag. I've been using a plastic tub.

Take a look at the 17 and it's pointy tip.

Barkeep, cut him off, he's had enough Becker Bling for one night...

You're gonna need a bigger bag.

Eero, you normally don't want a pointy tip for game cleaning. Other than starting incisions (which is better done by pinching the skin and slicing), a pointy tip normally causes problems because it wants to poke everything. Ever smelled a freshly opened deer stomach? Yeah, pointy not so good.

Now, the 17 does have plenty of belly though, so if you're careful, it works out. Either way, I'd prefer my BK14 over the tweeners. It may take longer, but I'd rather spend 5 extra minutes doing the work and not getting drenched in bile/urine/feces.

The 10 and 16 would be a hell of a good combination. You need a 9 though. ;)

Nice bag of goodies, but my back would hurt. Unless of course it is in the bed of the truck or trunk. :D
