Hi Everybody,

It was asked so I thought I would help.

FM V8, FM V6 and Krispy Bacon all have the same size scales
The FM V14 has quite different scales and handle

I would guess the FM V10 would be much like the KB but with a blade like the FM V8 just 2" longer

The KB is about 10" long of blade.

Thanks. I like how these handles feel in the hand. But, for carry purposes I feel like maybe FMV6 could use a smaller thinner handle. Perhaps as thin as thinnest part of tg nano, or old school HR regular handle.

I'm really waiting for FMV4.5 and hopefully that knife would be optimized with bias toward carrying and mounting.

With everything Jerry has been offering...I feel like I need to shut up about FMV4.5 until I actually have spare cash for one...

But I really do appreciate the comparison.

Thanks David, I thought the FMV6 was smaller but I compared my Krispy Bacon to a friends FMV6 and realized they were the same.
The Krispy Bacon feels ok but I would like it to have a slightly larger handle. I really like the feel of my FMV14 but it's a mint "Studio B" Edition, so I don't use it. Maybe I'll toss it on the exchange and buy a user.

I love my FM V6's and sorely miss my FM V8's, I really want to grab a 10 but not until I move a couple other knives to new homes.

The handles feel great but for a dagger, I would be tempted to go with the standard thickness scales, save the magnum for the choppers.

You are welcome.

You could always grind the scales down ?

Or take them off :) and wrap them.

How do you do that so cleanly?
what do you mean ?
Drill out the tubes ?
Yeah, I considered it. As I said, I like how they feel in the hand. But, I would probably go the wrapped route if the smaller one doesn't come.
I wonder if I should do cord wrap before reattaching the scales ?

Give it a go. With your mits if it's actually decent, that means it'll work for the rest of the human population.

Yeah do you use a drill press? maybe my drill-press has to much sloppy play in it but I tried to once an it was a mess the rubber handle got chewed up thanks for the reply.
