Good morning friends! My grandpa passed earlier this year, and i inherited this dagger from him. It has no real identifying marks, and is very finely serrated on both edges. Is anyone capable of identifying this?

No clue, but it has a very WWII era, European (Russian/Italian/German) vibe to it.

Does it have a sheath? Sometimes, there are markings on it.

Homemade knife, perhaps a theater knife (homemade knife for use in WWII). The ridges might be from being made from a file or sharpening steel.

.

Edit - Yeah, that's a file it was made from.

Sorry for the loss of your Grandfather. Perhaps a little closer photo of the blade would help. Also,as mentioned photos of sheath/scabbard may help. Very possible "theater made"

It does, but i don't believe it has markings on it. I'll look when i get home. It's a generic leather sheath with rivets and a snap at the top.
