Dagger with horizontal belt sheath

Hi, I'm looking for a smallish (4" or so blade) dagger that comes with a sheath that can be carried horizontally on the belt. I assume this would be a plastic sheath with one of those clips that can be turned 90 degrees. I don't really want to have a custom sheath done for the thing.

I was looking at the Cold Steel Counter Tac II but it doesn't look like the sheath can be turned. Anybody know?

Or, if you know any retailer that sells horizontal sheaths for a dagger that doesn't come from the manufacturer with one, that would be great too.

Dozier sells some excellent knives (not daggers, precisely, but they do cut!) with horizontal sheaths, though they may be pricier than you are thinking of.

The RAT Cutlery RC-3 come with a MOLLE sheath that can also be set up with a clip to carry horizontally. Also not really a dagger but it is a nice set up.

FYI...you may not be the most popular citizen on your block amongst LEO's you happen to run across in carrying a 4" dagger horizontally on your belt. Just sayin....

LOL so true. However, as long as the thing is carried on the waist "openly" it is, ipso facto, legal where I am. :thumbup:

You can use a couple of zip-ties to secure the Counter Tac II sheath horizontal on your belt. Once the ties are secured, you should be able to slide the sheath on & off your belt.

Just a suggestion.....
