Dagger..

I know it's not possible at all to purchase a custom Dagger from someone. Probably they wouldn't want to let it go and if they did it would be millions of dollars and then if I did buy it I wouldn't want to use it because of it being worth so much which is not why I buy knives.

Anyway, to the point, are there any Emerson dagger knock offs out there? Anything resembling it? I looked at the CRKT Stiff KISS but I want something double sided. Basically I want a dagger the size of the Emerson dagger which can be relatively easy to conceal and the knife being one piece of metal like the EKI dagger which I can wrap paracord around.

Thanks a bunch. The JW is what I was looking for.

Holy poop. $325 plus $35 more for a blade coating. With that price it makes wish I had discovered emerson knives earlier and put in a custom order for a dagger. Well I wish that anyway but now even more so. Hmm.. I guess I'll have to do some more searching

That would be just about perfect if not for that price tag. I can only dream

Whatever happened to "Ek knives"? They made a baby Ek dagger that sounds almost exactly like what you're looking for. These were quite inexpensive ($35-$50 at knife shows)and of excellent quality. Ek made a ton of them, some with black paracord and black nylon sheathes, and some with green paracord and green nylon sheathes. I believe they also made them with leather sheathes as an option. Full tang construction, paracord wrapped, double edged spear-pointed daggers with mirror or satin finished blades. I used to own a pair of them about 6 years ago but ended up trading them off for who knows what. I'm sure there's still a bunch of them floating around out there somewhere. Blade length on these was 3 1/2" if I recall correctly.

Eric, Good call. I remember them now.

Here is a picture of the Ek Boot knife.

Here is the description that went with the picture:

Blade Length: 3"
Overall Length: 7 1/4"

Blade Thickness: .160" (3/32")
Rc Hardness: 57-58

Custom Onyx, Silver & Pearl: $249.95

That was after they sold out to Blackjack knives, which has now gone belly up.

I found a couple of references to "Gary Ek", John Ek's son, who is supposed to be still making knives in the Miami area. I'll have to do some research later.

John, I should've known that you'd manage to produce pix of the Ek boot knife. I tried several different search engines and couldn't come up with any. I'm starting to think that you probably have all of these knives in your safe and you just toss a few out onto the floor and snap pix whenever someone inquires.

I usually use Google.com as a search engine. It usually gets me what I need.
