Caught my eye a while back. Dagon has a nice review of it. Looks like a superb EDC.

I was thinking it could go head-to-head with an Emerson A100 as they look similar in form (at least to me that is) :o

the carbon fibre model is available in all black too? (because the website doesnt list it)

Lovely looking knife if only the blade was an inch longer. Any plans on making an extra large version?

I have the Daghetta with G10 and a satin blade. It's quite a compact package. The blade in my opinion is perfect for EDC, definitely to my liking. The blade has just the right dimensions, length roughly the width of a palm which gives good control and power if needed, the drop point tip is acute, nicely slim profile and has an unsharpened swedge that lightens the tip and makes it nimble. Excellent for poking and precise cutting.

The handle is pretty slim and as I prefer chunky handles it's one of the things I'd change. The profile of the handle slabs on aluminium and carbon fiber models seems different, with some sort of ridge in the middle so perhaps they're fatter.

I really like the lock type and functioning. It seems quite solid to me, with the tiniest, very small updown slack when the blade is open. The lock sometimes sort of sticks in blade open position and requires the use of fingers on both sides of the release button to release it. I haven't really tried any tricks such as lubricants(graphite?) but I did reassemble it and that made no change.

Overall: Excellent :)

^ Very willing to take your word for it! The EDC-able dimensions and simple design was what drew me to it. Must be getting "mature" already since I'm slowly moving away from uber-tactical knives :)

Gianni could you please tell me what is the exact blade length of the daghetta (from the end of the handle to the tip)
thanks

As you've seen my humble video review, you know that I think it's a very competent knife with good lock up. I think it's also attractive and offers good quality/price in any incarnation.

Interesting you mention the Emerson A100, it's the only Emerson I see myself buying one day. Indeed, there is some similarity in the clean and timeless straight lines of these designs. And on the very gentlemen-y end of the scale, this family also includes the lovely Perceval Le Français.

So, yes do try the Daghetta, I cannot imagine you being disappointed.
And at the same time, order the Opera for those dressed-up events !

I to have been interested in the daghetta for a while but have yet to see one in person but judging by the pictures and specifications it looks like a great edc.

I really like the design of the Daghetta. 440C blade steel is cool, will there be other blade steels available for this knife?

So how's the action on this one? I'm myself buying one at the end of the month, but I want to know how smooth is the opening action. Is it comparable to back lock folder? And can you easily open it with one hand? I'm a bit spoiled by my Al Mar SERE 2000, but the Daghetta is a folder that I really like, I just hope it's easy to open and close.

Nifelheim, in my Daghetta, opening is very very smooth, I can flip it open or I can snap it by the thumb stud.
There is very little resistance, snaps open aggressively.

The closing is somewhat difficult 75% of the time with just one finger because the locking bar has a slight tendency to turn in it's slot and stick.
This might be due to a tiny tolerance with the locking bar in the frame slot. If it fit tighter it might fix it.

Maybe Gianni can elaborate on the construction.

Closing with 2 fingers is effortless though.

I really like the knife and the lock!

Thank you, PatriotDan!

This makes the knife all the more exciting. I was a bit concerned because of Dagon's video review, where it looked like the knife's quite hard to open, but I guess I mislead myself. Thanks, again!

;)

No problem. Compared to Emerson's A-100, the Daghetta is a slicer. The blade profile is excellent for my needs. Cutting stuff that is :)

I mean no disrespect to Emersons, I own several (7,8,10) because I like them. But they have thicker edge bevels along with the saber grinds which sometimes has it's downsides.
