I am just a tad off center when it comes to Daily Carry, BUT I have cut way back, pun intended...There were days when I'd count up over 9 knives on my person. But I've trimmed down some, maybe after losing the weight I don't want to carry all that metal on me!

But I thought I'd try my daughters new digital camera out, not too good, have to try it outside I guess, but here is what is Standard out the door knife/sword wear for me on a daily basis...

By the numbers;

1) Rob Criswell Wakizashi, 20" blade of A2 steel, 1/4" thick sharp sucker, Thanks Win Heger! This stays in the car once I arrive at work...never know when you might need it!

2) Dobruski Butterfly Knife with Titanium Handles and Stag inserts with ATS-34 Bowie Blade, very nice! Rides in a BM43 Sheath on my right side for now, until I can make one for myself! Thanks to RJ for understanding and letting me get this one back! And for Mauro for working out the details...! AND of course to Mr. Mauricio Dobruski for an excellent knife!!! Much thanks!

3) William Henry Black&Tan Carbon Fiber Lancet, Shirt pocket carry EVERYDAY!

4) Swiss Army Knives, Executive model, left front pocket, another MUST have knife...

5) Rob Criswell fixed blade, ATS-34 blade, kydex sheath, rides in my coat pocket, again thanks to Win Heger!

6) Spyderco Large Calypso with VG-10 blade, wicked sharp knife, right front pocket, Thanks Danbo!

Well there ya have it, my Mainstay in carry to and from work...excessive? I think not, some here may say not enough, but I really like the Dobruski very much, opens and cuts so well! That black V on the blade in the bad pic is from a Wagon Wheel light above the table, it's a reflection of two of the spokes...:D

Aren't you worried about that WH falling out of your top pocket when you bend over to get something, or even when it is raining and you are jogging back to your car or something? I know those little WH knives weigh a little over an ounce but that is a good chunk o' change to drop on the ground.

Never a bit of worry, the Black & Tan series has a very good Titanium clip that is secure and rides clipped to my shirt pocket, extremely useful knife with a nice narrow point! Classy looking with that coating as well!

Gary, do you find people more or less responsive to your wishes when toting the Wakizashi?
I can see you looking at a coworker without expression, and saying "I'll be back in a minute. You just wait, right here":p

The other Criswell looks like a sweet carry piece, btw.
Hey, I know a guy who can make you a sheath for that Lancet, so you don't have to worry about losing it;)

Oh....never mind.

Hahahaha...... Gary Graley with all of those knives and no sheaths? The universe is unraveling quickly.

Lucky for me I have a HitcherHiker's Guide to the Universe and believe it or not, THAT was covered in there! HAH good catch there Buzz, but yes, the cobbler has no shoes and in this case, no sheaths on the daily carry knives, I'll be getting around to that some time this spring I hope!

And Owen, they don't bother me too much at work, not much at all! :D

Not a Seb in the lineup. Now I'm getting a little freaked too.

Professor.

I hope you are never in a position where you need to use the wakizashi, but I'd give ONE MILLION dollars to see the look on the guy's face when you pull it out.

Gary,
We both have the same problem. Well, on second thought, maybe it's not a problem, maybe we are just better prepared than many others choose to be.

I carry two folders in my two front pockets, a mult-plier in my back pocket, a 5 and a half inch fixed blade in my back in my pants, a neck knife and a large late 80's marine corp knife in the car.

I've got a great real 150 'Samurai-style' sword but that's much too large for keeping in the car unfortunetely. That thing can really chop some heads off though.
At 23 years of age I am a bit worried though about the law, you know the cops will be tougher on me than on you, Gary. Oh well, it's not my fault they have crazy left-wing nazi tree hugging laws.

Soon if I can afford it I'll be changing my front folder(a CS large Voyager tanto) for a Strider GB. I can't wait!! I'm already drooling and can't think of anything else.
Then later I'll change my knighthawk tanto for a Busse Badger Attack E. Hooyeah

All the best,
Eman

Hmmm... A Hitchiker's Guide, eh? Maybe you should make a sheath for your babel fish. :)
