Daily use and carrying of khukuris in Nepal

Bill, I was wondering: is the khukuri carried and used in all regions of Nepal?
Esp. the higher mountains like the Mustang?
Is the khukuri carried by everyone or just hunters and farmers?

Carried and used in all regions. Mostly carried by farmers and rural folks generally without a scabbard. But you'll see all types with a khukuri in hand or in scabbard. It is the most widely used tool in Nepal.

Thanks for the info, Bill! I guess they carry them w/o the scabbard like the folks in South America do with theirs.
