I've been fortunate to get to know Dale Reif a bit over the past year. Some online, some on the phone and at the Blade Show.
As many of you know, Dale, a former police officer and current full time maker has been winning many awards for his beautiful and visually interesting art folders.
It was my good fortune to assist Dale with some ideas/names for some of his creations and by way of returning the favor, Dale generously sent me a beautiful folder which arrived (surprisingly enough) late this afternoon.
This model is called the "Jaguar" by Dale. It features:
A highly recurved D-2 blade of 3.5 inches.
Titanium Bolsters
Stainless Steel Back Spacer (Drilled)
Carbon Fiber Scales
Jeweled/Anodized Liners
Jeweled Pocket Clip.
What you can't see in my hastily produced pictures are the subtle colors evident in the liners, and the attention to detail up to and including the pocket clip.
Haven't had a chance yet to play with this beauty as I wanted to share a little first, but trust me, it'll be spending some time in my right front pocket shortly.
I want to publicly thank Dale for his generosity and suggest that those interested in his work visit his website at:
