The G10 grips are nice. The blade is for some reason stouter than I expected it to be. It's not like I didn't look at the specs, and look at them, and look at them some more. It is just a solid piece of work. It's an excellent new necker. Speaking of neckers, what kind of screws am I supposed to be using to mount on one of these sheaths? There are two large holes which the screws for my molle locks and Tek-lock just slide on through making it currently impossible to mount them to the sheath.

Sweet blade, sweet slabs, good times ahead for me in the woods.

I just got my RC 6 from Dale, sit down to open the package and surf BF, and saw this post!

I ordered Tuesday, and got it today (Sat).

An amazing blade, and amazing service from Dale!

Dale does an excellent job. Quick service, quick delivery, and good prices. Not to mention his slabs are nice. Joseph, if you can post us up a pic of the new 6. Theflyingplatypus, that's pretty insane, I think the man must have some connections, maybe he's bribing the carriers? (I jest of course.)

I'm trying to put the 4 through its paces. It is standing up to some serious batoning this evening. Works like a charm.

Ha ha ha, good to see someone else using an ESEE for emergency snack preparation! My Izula and 4 both cut the hell out of apples and summer sausage on a regular basis. :D
 
Man after owning the 5 for only about two weeks now I already desire to have a 4 and 6. Although I am finding the 5 pretty much perfect for my needs. The only thing I would change about the five is some scales like those on the Busse's (don't own, but look grippy) and maybe a skullcrusher butt (flat and grooved) instead of glass breaker. Other than that pretty much nothing else.

Dale Stoops is my main man when it comes to buying knives. I collect both ESEE and Bark River blades and he has them all at prices that are excellent. He is prompt and services his customers like relatives...a good man!
I love ESEE knives! So far I have an ESEE-4 and an ESEE-6. I have customized scales on the 4 made of Exhibition Grade Bird's Eye Maple:

The 6 is in the process of having its new custom scales made by my good friend Randy Chinn (Mountaintrailrunner) you may have seen his videos. The scales will be made from the same wood (Honduran Rosewood Burl) as this fine pen that has just been given to me as a gift.:

I can't wait to get my hands on it. I will take a shot of it and put it up here. My next knife will be the ESEE-5.

I ordered my Hest at 1:00 pm on the 14th, I got a shipment notification 6 minutes later.

I was holding it at noon on the 16th. :eek:

Thanks Dale...I choose the wood and my friend Duncan crafted that fine pen you see there. I love Honduran Rosewood Burl and I love this pen.
