Dalton Minuteman/Dalton Autos in General

Hey guys, I recently have been offered a dalton minuteman in a trade. I am completely unfamillar with dalton and was hoping for some clarification. Anyone know the: Average price? Reliabilty? Specs? When it was made? Dalton's reputation?

I really don't know anything about daltons, so I couldn't even tell if it was a fake. Opinions?

I can tell you a little bit. Dalton's shop was (is) in Lexington, KY. He made almost all of his production knives from ATS-34 steel. I don't know if his work has been copied, but I can tell you that Dalton made a good quality knife so if that one feels loose and crappy it probably isn't a Dalton.

Pricing varied widely from dealer to dealer, but I would have expected that knife to sell from $150 to $225 depending on who you were buying it from and how desperate they were for a sale.

really good knives, but the dude's a racist prick. made a bunch of knives engraved with aryan brotherhood stuff. I only bought a few of his autos before this came to light, and they're solid, but damned if I'll buy another.
