Can anyone give me some insight on this Dalton knife? It appears to be a folder, but I can't figure out how to close it. Thanks

wow! awfully sorry that i dunno either.
but have you tried depressing/pulling
or shifting the pocket clip upwards/downwards???
best of luck with the awesome knife!

Daltons were all 'limited releases'...the crazy dude made a model until he didn't feel like it anymore, then moved on to the next model. The sheer number of different Dalton models is truly staggering!

It never ceases to surprise me how much this form knows. I have never seen an opening mechanism like that one before. It is a very interesting knife and concept!

Rob Dalton certainly included quite a number of staggering images on his knives, also.

Can you summarize your words? Or are these just words?

After making a run of knives commemorating the arian nation id buy an Mtech before buying anything from that fool.....
I can finally understand the indignation, but no one can force a person to buy this or that thing.
Each knife lover for himself, for one reason or another, decides why he likes the products of a particular master or workshop. Moreover, often (always) objective reasons are not taken into account.
None of the Gerber product collectors are confused because the number of Vietnamese who were killed with the knives of this company ?! If anything - the question was rhetorical, it does not need to be answered.
Therefore, it seems to me that it is not necessary to impose your opinion in this way.

What? It's just easier to avoid knives from racists. Plenty of good knife makers that aren't nazis.

I think when Daltons name appears on these forums,it should be known that he made these knives,as well as knives with symbols very similar to the Nazi eagle used in WWII .Its almost the same courtesy as if someone was interested in a knifemaker who was a known thief who takes money for knives and doesn't send the product....

They've been scrubbed from the internet, but about a decade ago, he had handles done up with AB 666 and a shamrock picture. He also had a few with the familiar WWII Eagle and Swastika on the handle. They were sold through only a few dealers I remember. The closest you get now is this Dalton logo that is used sometimes -

Did that, didn't see what you are referring to. Kind of nice to see one given the charge of extreme racism.

Thanks for the info.

We all make mistakes, maybe he's changed like we all do.

True, but that seems to me to be something you don't just stop believing in. People in organizations like the Aryan nation were predisposed to hatred et cetera. They just took their beliefs to the next level. Whether or not he is part of it, my money ain't going to him.
