So ive been edcing my izula ever since it arrived about a month ago. Now i dont see a reason to ever carry a folder. I really like having such a tough sharp knife. i left my folder at work to use as a letter opener. The only folder i carry now is a my boker subclaw as a money clip. I havent even looked at folders since i picked this one up. I guess i always thought of fixed blade knives as big. thanks rat

Got mine on me always. Don't worry though. You'll start carrying a folder again... when RAT comes out with one. :D
 
I Stopped EDC'n a Folder about 1.5 years ago..... then I combined the two adding a SAK hiker to the mix accompaning my LM wave.. So I have 3 on me most times during the work week ....weekend sak hiker & izula
 
I've got the same problem! Have a box full of awesome Spyderco folders that have nothing wrong with them except they fold in half. My Izula has singlehandedly run them out of a job. Still carry my SAK Farmer, because it has a bunch of useful tools on it. Since getting my Izula, I've only carried a folder for two or three days.
 
I've got my Izula in my pocket right now and have used it several times so far today. It gets more hand time than either of the two folders I also EDC. It's just such a useful design!

In my pocket as I write this. Mine never leaves me either! Great blade. Glad to see everyone else is enjoying theirs as much as I am mine :thumbup:
 
let me correct myself. the only folder i seem to carry is a multitool. hehe. the izula is just awesome glad to see im in good company
 
I just recently started carrying a folder again because I cord wrapped my Izula prototype and it was a bit too big in my pocket.

So I just ordered another Izula.:D

Like I said, they're like potato chips.
 
While I can't yet claim to EDC an Izula (although my wife is hinting at wanting one :D), I agree with the sentiments of the OP. Once you get 'fixed' you don't want to 'fold'. I love EDC'ing small fixed blades. Be that neck knives or pocket blades. They are simple and effective.

What the hell reason do you have for having a 4" folding blade that is weak at the lock? I'd rather have a 2.5 - 3" fixed that I can manhandle until the blade starts to flex. Since I started carrying, and using, pocket fixed blades I simplfy view folders as gimmicks. Man - that would really piss off about 75% of BF's - but it is just how I feel!
 
Right on! My Izula is always on my person. I do still carry a SAK Farmer as well.

I don't think that would realy piss anyone off. I like people with strong opinions.
