Daniel,
Are you planning to make any Kiridashis in damascus any time soon? Or maybe some in Ti?
Sorry to be a pain...
Thanks

Absolutely! :D

They are taking me a bit longer than I would have liked, I had to take some time off last month to get ready for winter... nearly all of my knifemaking business budget has gone towards paying for a large ditch that has to be excavated here on the mountain for my shop's 100 amp power line.

My current batch is almost all older orders after that I hope to get on the kiridashis and more. The kiridashis are a big priority, I have just finished up most of the 5160 and W2 so they are next.

Just fax me the finance paper work. I'll send a pint of blood for deposit. 10 points if you can name the C.W.McCall song referenced.

Sounds familiar, lol! McCall was the mayor of Ouray, a nearby town...

I do hope to get the Damascus soon, I'll post a pic when I get the billet.

Vacationed at Purgatory one summer many years ago and spent a day in Ouray. Perhaps one of the coolest towns I've ever seen and certainly the one with the most beautiful views. It would be like living at the bottom of a huge cereal bowl. :)

Nice! I have been on that road, it turns in to the roughest 4x4 trail around. There is one spot they show a mountain view and the dirt road, I swear that is a photo I took up there.

There is an old silver mine at the base of the road that has really cool pyrite cubes everywhere, amazing stuff to find.

I usually have a season pass at Purgatory and go to Ouray once a year, you are right about the cereal bowl effect! I think it was a volcano at one time? There are 10,000 mines in Ouray county alone so it is always fun to go look around.
