Recommendation? Damaged nirvana

i have a chance to buy a nirvana at an incredible price...the catach it's damaged. The owner says the lock bar was over extended. I have a video i could share but it has rock lock. I was wondering if there was a way yo fix it or at least improve the situation.

Send it in to spyderco to see if they would fix it at a cost.

but I would probably just stay away from that.
 
So the "incredible" price comes with the condition of that excessive blade play? OP you can chance out that Spyderco is willing and will be able to fix it (for free but most likely for a fee), but if it were me I'd just pass the deal unless it is like 1/3 of the retail price.
 
Has it already been to Golden? Maybe that incredible price is because it’s already been seen by Spyderco, and unable to repair. Now trying to get something for what should be retired.

Honestly im not sure. Im gonna pass on it and either order a paysan or an olamic whippersnapper from dlttrading.com

I agree with you, i have a large knife art insingo sebenza that i really like, just wanting something different. I dont have anything on bearings....yet
