Damaging steel with high heats?

While dying my G10 a different color, I left the blade on my Paramilitary (S30V). The knife went through the 3 trips in the oven at 350* for a few minutes at a time. The knife also went through about 30 minutes of boiling water temperature. At the end of this treatment, I stuck the entire knife into the freezer to cool it off.

Changing the temperament of the blade TOTALLY spaced my mind as I was just so excited about the dye actually changing the G10. Im now afraid that I could have affected the steel negatively and somehow made it more brittle or weakened it in a way (brand new knife).

Can someone who knows alot about steel and blade making tell me if I have damaged my knife or if Im worrying about nothing?

Thanks guys, and yes I know, I'm an idiot:foot:

(I read through Bladsmth's sticky on heat treatment, but it was more of a foreign language to me than anything else, but it was well written)

Most folks run S30V through a 1000F tempering cycle. You're just fine.

You're fine. Even the simple carbon steels would be basically unaffected by 350F.
