Damascus 110 query?

Hi all not posted much. have had the buck 110 bug for few months now cant stop spending money.

Anyway just purchased 2 of my favourite knives of the bay, never used still with boxes paperwork and sheaths.
Im just wondering why the sheaths are different colour, knifes are same year X mark.

They are stunning and if any1 is bored of their damascus 110 speak to me LOL il have them.

Terrific collection and I admire your display case (IKEA?). Terrific use of stadium seating for the blades. Thank you for the pics.
 
It was going to be the ikea display case , but it was not wide enough for two knife stands side by side..
This 1 is just over 6ft 5 glass shelves , very sturdy of the bay, £50 for it :)
Shouldnt be long till its full or the bank is empty which ever comes first !
 
I would love a link to your glass display vendor or a way to ID it as I am in the market and greatly appreciate your comment that the IKEA display was too narrow for duel knife racks. Thank you.
 
I live In the uk manchester, i bought this of ebay uk from a private sale, not a shop, unfortunatly it does not have any markings brands etc.
I could give you the full dimensions if thats any help.
Took my a while to find 1 bid enough for two racks .

THX Steve. I'll keep beating the bushes for the right size to accomodate the duel knife racks. I use a few racks now but most blades are loose so I can turn them just the right way. The racks dictate position and I'm not entirely pleased about that in the case of many of the knives that can have details hidden by the rack format. However, from afar, racks look the business. Great find on your display case.
 
Im going to have to track down some bone damascus 110s. The boxes are matching to my stag damascus 110. i love em O.O...
 
Hi the next archer ! Ive seen some of your videos with the damascus 110 you got of craigslist , do you not have them anymore ?

Hello Steve,
I did a data sheet on the 110 Damascus and it list all known variations. If you send me an email to jhouser@buckknives.com i will gladly send the data sheet to you. Unfortunately, I dont know enough about the sheaths yet. It could be that Buck wanted a diferent color sheath due to the diferent color inlays but that does not sound like something they would have done.
The pictures i have actually show the brown bone with the tan looking sheath so my guess is that they just happened to change the sheath during the couple years both models were offered and you can find either model with either color sheath. Thats my theory anyways.

nope iv only owned one. I only have the one damascus stag 110 and then a 560, black 560, and a 560 with a 110 blade, but only one in damascus.
 
i have the brown bone and a perfect stag 110 both damascus...looking for the redbone, but must be near perfect to match the other 2
 
Hi gordon , hope you find a mint one.
Ive just bought a mint stag damascus with box too and also a red bone non damascus with box . So when they arrive il post some pictures , first time ive seen a redbone without damascus but hey least il have both :)
 
These sheaths are a tad different than yours. A bit of a different tan on the stag dam, and more burgundy on the red bone.

Hi pack rat thanks for the picture, just shows that there is many different colours. Seems strange.
