I just finished this one up today as a donation to my blacksmith guild for their yearly raffle and thought I'd post it here for folks to see.

378 layer 1084/15n20 "random" damascus
304SS guard
Black paper Micarta spacer
Cocobolo
5" cutting edge, just a shade over 10" OAL

I REALLY like it! Is the area in front of the guard is large enough for the index finger? The slim handle look really nice and comfortable to carry. If you don't mind, I'll save your pictures in my "inspiration" knifemaking folder...Thanks a lot for sharing :thumbup:

The bottom of the ricasso was shaped for exactly that purpose. I figure it would give a nice way to "choke up" for close-in work where a little more control is desired.
