Blade : 1084/15N20 ~128 layers - 4 1/4"
Spacer : 416 Stainless
Handle : Ebony
Overall : 9 5/8"

This was made from another of the hand forged billets from the steel I'd gotten from Darren. The blade was originally sort of a twin to the other, but upon discovering a bit of a weld flaw in the side, much grinding occurred to try to remove it. Eventually I just decided to leave it instead of ending with a pile of steel dust and no blade. Decided to go ahead and finish it out and put it to work in the kitchen. I'd gotten a pretty good sized turning block of Ebony a long while back on sale at Woodcraft. So I'd cut a piece from it to see how it holds up. Really wish the flaw wouldn't have been there as it'd have made another great item to put up for sale on the website, but it's flawed.

That is beautiful. Less is always more, and I think you've accomplished that with this simple, but practical and beautiful knife.

Too bad about that flaw, but it still looks like it would be a perfectly serviceable knife. The design of the knife looks very good.

Thanks guys. I figured I might as well make it into a worker instead of tossing it aside with all the hammering I'd done on it! Did go for a pretty simple handle design, that looks pretty good with the blade.
